2015…

ESPAÑOL - ENGLISH

Estaba pensando en publicar algo sobre este año 2015 desde hacía días, augurando como mucha gente a la que conozco que este año iba a ser bueno. Sin embargo, con los últimos acontecimientos ocurridos en Francia, es difícil hablar de lo bueno que van a ser estos 12 meses.

No leía esta revista, creo que de hecho nunca la compré. Sin embargo, nací en un país en el cual “libertad, igualdad, fraternidad” es el lema por excelencia y ver que la libertad de expresión ha sido de repente truncada por unos criminales que eligieron responder a los lápices con armas, en nombre de unos ideales religiosos que pocos comparten. ¿Todo es por algo?... en este caso, no lo sé. Lo que si he podido comprobar es la unión de muchísima gente mostrando su rechazo a estos abominables hechos.

¿Buenas Resoluciones? Tampoco soy de las personas que se plantean algo nuevo tan sólo porque es año nuevo, sino que voy tomando las decisiones a medida que se presentan las ocasiones. Nunca pensé el 1 de enero de 2014 que publicaría mi libro durante ese año sino que un día me pregunté: ¿y por qué no? En cambio, si me gusta hacer una retrospectiva de lo que he ido viviendo y sintiendo a lo largo de los meses. Tan sólo diré que ha habido de todo aunque prefiero quedarme con lo bueno: viajes, excursiones, unos meses viviendo con mi hermana y su dálmata, más viajes y excursiones visitando a amigos, el libro y muchas más cosas.

¿Proyectos? ¡Muchos!... ¿demasiados quizás? No lo creo. Algunos podrán cumplirse, otros seguramente tengan que posponerse pero en eso reside la sal de la vida. Trabajaremos y lucharemos para que nuestros sueños se hagan realidad.

¡Viva la Libertad de Expresión!

I had been thinking in publishing something about 2015 for a few days, predicting like most people I know that this year was going to be good. However, given what has recently happened in France, it is difficult to talk about how good these 12 months are going to be.

I didn’t read this magazine; in fact I think that I’ve never bought it. Nevertheless, I was born in a country where “liberty, equality, fraternity” are the motto and seeing that the freedom of expression has suddenly been broken by criminals who chose to reply to pencils with arms, in the name of some religious ideals that only a few share. Everything happens for a reason?... in this case, I don’t know. What I could see is that many people joined together to show their rejection to these horrible facts.

New Resolutions? I am not a person who considers something new only because a new year is beginning. I make decisions when they have to be made. Last January 1^st 2014, I never thought I would publish my book that year, it just occurred after one day I asked myself “and why not?” However, I like to look back at what I have lived and felt throughout the months. I’ll only say that there has been a bit of everything in 2014 but I prefer to remember the good things: trips, excursions, a few months living with my sister and her Dalmatian dog, more trips and excursions visiting friends, the book and many other things.

Projects? Many!... Too many maybe? I don’t think so. Some may be accomplished, other will certainly have to be postponed, but this is what makes life interesting. We’ll work and fight so that our dreams may come true.
