Antiguo Convento de Sant Agustín (que alberga hoy el Museo del Chocolate). El compás y la escuadra enfrentados así como las letras F y M de la puerta son símbolos e iniciales de la francmasonería.*
Ancient Sant Agustín Monastery (today it is the Chocolate Museum). The faced up compass and set-square, as well as the letters F and M on the door are symbols and initials of the freemasonry.*

Moll Pescadors
Torre del Reloj: construida en 1772, se trataba entonces de un faro. A finales del siglo XVII, sirvió como punto de referencia para Pierre-François Méchain quien tomó las últimas medidas que dieron lugar al nacimiento del sistema métrico decimal.*

Clock Tower: built in 1772, it was then a lighthouse. At the end of XVII century, it became a point of reference for Pierre-François Méchain, who took the latest measurements that were later used for the birth of the metric system.*

La Mano de la Barceloneta: no existe teoría que explique esta mano tallada, ubicada a tres metros del suelo y con dos triángulos que señalan direcciones opuestas, en una casa de 1875. El barrio de La Barceloneta, obra del ingeniero militar Juan Martín Cermeño, empezó a construirse en 1753.*
Barceloneta's Hand: there is no theory that explains this carved hand, situated 3 metres from the ground with two triangles that point at opposed directions, in a house dated 1875. Barceloneta neighborhood, designed by the military engineer Juan Martin Cermeño, began to be built in 1753.*
Restaurante 7 Portes: ubicado en un edificio que data de 1836, este restaurante fue el primer edificio de la ciudad en contar con agua corriente y cuya fachada fue protagonista de la primera foto que se hizo en España. Llenó de símbolos masónicos, fue el punto de encuentro secreto de hermandades de la época durante muchos años.*
7 Portes Restaurant: located in a building dated 1836, this restaurante was the first building in the city that installed tap water and its façade was the theme of the first photo taken in Spain. Full of masonic symbols, it was the secret meeting point of brotherhoods of that time during many years.*

Esta calle, donde antiguamente se vendía la "pedra escurçonera" (también llamada piedra negra o piedra belga) está llena de misterio y magia, un lugar ineludible para los amantes de lo esotérico. A saber también que Estruc sería el nombre del primer vampiro catalán.*
This street, where, in the past, they sold the "pedra escurçonera" (also called black stone or Belgian stone), is full of mysteries and magic, a uanvoidable place for the esoteric lovers. It is also interessant to know that Estruc may be the name of the first Catalan vampire.*

Montserrat (1928), de Eusebi Arnau: ¿habéis visto que la Virgen de Montserrat está allí? Se dice que se salvó de la furia anticristiana desatada por los anarquistas en los primeros días de la guerra civil por pasar desapercibida.*

En la Iglesia Sant Jaume de la Calle Ferrán, antigua sinagoga judía, nos hemos encontrado con esta estructura, donde podemos ver la reproducción de las cuatro torres de la fachada del nacimiento de la Sagrada Familia.
In Sant Jaume Church, an ancient Jewish synagogue, in Ferrán Street, we saw this structure, where we can see the reproduction of the four towers of the Sagrada Familia birth façade.

Allí se encuentran dos de las seis farolas diseñadas por Antoni Gaudi un mes antes de titularse como arquitecto (1879).*
There we can find two of the six lamps designed by Antoni Gaudi, just one month before graduating as an architect (1879).*
Baixada Llibretería
La Tienda más antigua de la ciudad, abierta en 1761. Realmente vale la pena entrar, tanto por el aspecto de la Cerería Subira como por las diversas velas que venden o por el trato que ofrecen.
The oldest Shop in the town, opened in 1761. It is really worth going inside, as much for the aspect of the Subira Chandlery as for the different candles the sell or for the pleasant treatment.

En esta plaza, una puerta de cristal da a una pequeña habitación que antaño era la casa del verdugo de la Santa Inquisición.*
In this square, there is a glass window that shows a small room that once was home of the executioner of the Saint Inquisition.*
Plaza del Rey: Palau Lloctinent
Os invito a mirar de cerca cada una de las pequeñas esculturas que adornan la fachada. Estoy segura de que algunas os sorprenden.*
I recommend you to look closely at each of the small sculptures that are in the façade. I am sure that some of them will surprise you.*
Plaza de Sant Felipe Neri
He dejado por último un sitio que me sobrecoge cada vez que voy. En medio del bullicio del barrio gótico lleno de turistas, se encuentra esta plaza, llena de historia, en la cual parece que el tiempo se haya detenido, Sin duda, uno de mis lugares favoritos en Barcelona, donde también se rodó parte del videoclip My Inmortal de Evanescence.
And last but not least, this place where I feel overwhelmed every time I go. In the middle of the racket in the gothic neighborhood, there is this square, full of history, where it seems like time has stopped. Undoubtedly one of my favorite places in Barcelona, where the videoclip My Inmortal by Evanescence was partially shot.
