Berlín, marzo de 2015 / March 2015

Aunque queríamos salir de la capital alemana para “seguir los pasos” de mi grupo de música favorito, no nos ha sido posible hacer esta ruta. Sin embargo, no por eso nuestro viaje a Alemania ha sido menos interesante ni menos intenso. 

Even if we wanted to go out from the German capital to “follow the steps” of my favorite band, we couldn’t do this route. However, this was no reason for us to make our trip to Germany neither less interesting nor less intense. 

Berlín, una ciudad llena de historia y contrastes, donde los diferentes memoriales conviven con estructuras y pensamientos modernos, donde su lema “no olvidar nunca” para evitar repetir errores del pasado cohabita con ideas de futuro y progreso y donde la ética y el respeto al prójimo reside en (casi) cada uno de sus habitantes.
Berlin, a city full of history and contrasts, where the different memorials coexist with modern structures and thoughts, where its motto “never forget” to avoid repeating mistakes of the past is shown and said together with ideas of future and progress, and where ethics and respect of the other lives in (almost) each one of its inhabitants. 

 

Se trata de una gran ciudad, con muchos rincones, unos muy modernos, otros con encanto, otros más históricos,… Museos para todos los gustos (¡hasta del Currywurst!). 

It’s a big city, with many corners, some of them very modern, others charming, others more historical,… Museums for all the tastes (there is even a museum of the Currywurst!) 

Si ya me gustó Berlín hace unos cinco años, esta vez me he enamorado por completo. Nadie sabe lo que le depara el porvenir, pero he de decir que, aunque haga más frío y llueva más que en Barcelona, un futuro en la capital germana no me importaría. 

If I enjoyed Berlin five years ago, this time I completely fell in love. Nobody knows what future will provide, but I have to say that, even if it’s colder and rainier than in Barcelona, I wouldn’t matter a future in the German capital.

Some of the photos I leave of my beloved Berlin are quite typical, others maybe not that common but I hope you’ll like them.

Por cierto, aunque no pudimos ir a Magdeburg y alrededores, nos pasamos por el Kosmos, donde se grabó “Der Letzte Tag”.
By the way, though we could not go to Magdeburg and surroundings, we went to Kosmos, where “Der Letzte Tag” was filmed. 


Todo será por algo… ¡volveremos allí para hacer esta ruta!
Everything happens for a reason… we will go back there to make this route!
