5 years already…

Today is a strange day, full of feelings that mix up together making me sensitive. You left us suddenly 5 years ago. It was (and it is) a hard time to overcome. 

However, I have to say that without your leaving, I wouldn’t have known great and nice people who are now friends, I wouldn’t be part of a Charity that intends to help children throughout the world in your name, maybe I wouldn’t write for destinorock.com as my first entry in this website was about you, perhaps I wouldn’t have traveled yet to the USA and I wouldn’t have known my partner. You’ve been the start concerning my relationship with Sergio, even if another great man with the same name as you helped for the continuation. 

I’m not saying that I’m happier because you’re not here anymore or that there’s a “reason” for your departure, what I’m trying to express is that even when you’re not on the Earth anymore, you have been bringing feelings and happiness to people. It’s strange how feelings can merge this way. 

One year more, your fans, your friends, will meet tonight in many cities all over the world. We’ll be remembering you, as everyday in fact, but June 25 at night might be a little more symbolic, our thoughts and our heart next to you. Meanwhile, other fans and friends will be physically nearer you, in Forrest Lawn.
